COMPLETE GRAPPLING is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, and Judo academy at 192 W Main St in Avon, Connecticut, serving students from Avon, Farmington, Burlington, Simsbury, and West Hartford. Founded by Owner and Head Instructor Eric Plourde Sr., who earned a black belt in Tang Soo Do in 1988 and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2022 under Team Nova Uniao 5th Degree Black Belt Danilo Cherman, the school welcomes qualifying military veterans living with service-connected disabilities and PTSD through the We Defy Foundation, which covers their memberships. Plourde is a 2nd Degree Black Belt, 7x IBJJF Gold Medalist, and 1x IBJJF World Master Silver Medalist. The Avon coaching team includes Women's Program Instructor Andi Sunseri (Black Belt, IBJJF World Master Champion, and 3x IBJJF Pan American Champion), No-Gi and Wrestling Coach Nick Adler (Brown Belt and 2022 Class S Coach of the Year), Head Judo Instructor Steve Ciarleglio (Black Belt in Judo under Sensei Sid Kelly and BJJ under Danilo Cherman), Mobility and Performance Coach Eric Carrero (Purple Belt), Assistant Kids Coach Eric Plourde Jr., and Certified Athletic Trainer Andrew Muccino.
