Artisan Submission Grappling is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located at the Middletown Powerstation at 4343 S Dixie Hwy in Middletown, Ohio. Instruction is provided by a coaching team consisting of Professor Jake Nickoson, Coach Josh Stanley, Coach Tyler Frasher, Coach Mike Blankenship, and Coach Stephanie Blankenship. The academy's schedule includes Adults Jiu Jitsu in both Gi and No-Gi formats for students ages 12 and up, featuring a dedicated Fundamentals class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM where new students build a framework of foundational positions and techniques. Youth grapplers ages 5 to 12 train in the Kid's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program, which offers a four-week introductory package that includes a free gi. Additional offerings include a Ladies Only Self Defense BJJ class and 12-month Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training scholarships for disabled combat veterans.
